On Monday, the Bradford West Gwillimbury Friends of the Library came together to honour and celebrate longtime volunteer Amy Wright.
Wright served as the secretary of the Friends of the Library for an impressive 25 years before stepping down earlier this year.
As secretary, she was the backbone of the organization. With meticulous detail, she diligently recorded the proceedings of each meeting, ensuring nothing important slipped through the cracks.
In addition to her duties as secretary, she has generously contributed countless hours supporting the Friends and the Library through fundraising events like their regular book sales.
Wright’s dedication and efficiency were instrumental in maintaining the organization’s smooth operation, and her contributions to the success of the Friends of the Library are invaluable.
“We are deeply grateful for Amy’s dedication and leadership over the years,” said Amy’s successor, Natasha Philpott. “She leaves big shoes to fill.”
The Friends of the Library is a charitable organization that raises funds for library programming through regular fundraising events.
