Are you the parent of a child recently diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? Join us for a FREE DIY resource day on April 24th from 3:30 – 5:00 p.m. at the BWG Library.

Parents will have the opportunity to meet team members from their local division and consult with experts to create personalized resource toolkits for their child’s specific needs. This event also provides a valuable chance to connect with other families in the area who are facing similar experiences.

Throughout the event, parents will have access to customizable pre-made resources such as token boards, choice boards, and social narratives. Additionally, parents can learn about Kinark services available to them, including Groups, Brief Behavioral Consultations, Resource Kits, and Parent/Caregiver workshops, all designed to help their child thrive.

While parents are engaged in creating their resource toolkits, children can enjoy a quiet and safe sensory playtime with BWG Library staff and a Kinark therapist, featuring curated book selections and different activity stations: Fishing, a Firetruck Puzzle, and Soft-touch fruit stacking rings.

Please note that Kinark asks participants to register for this event.
