A 21-year-old horse named Donte escaped serious injury after the trailer he was riding in flipped following a crash in New Tecumseth earlier today.
The two-vehicle collision happened at the 7th Line and 15th Side Road, causing the horse trailer to overturn, according to Nottawasaga OPP.
With the assistance of New Tecumseth Fire, Simcoe County paramedics, Two Tack Emergency Medical Services and a local veterinarian, Donte was safely removed from the trailer with minor injuries, according to police.
The drivers of the motor vehicles, who had remained on scene, sustained minor injuries.
No charges have been laid at this time and the roadway been reopened.
