Bradford’s home show is on hiatus.

The Bradford Home and Lifestyle Show, organized by the Bradford Board of Trade and scheduled for April 27, has been postponed. Publicly, this announcement was made by the board of trade via social media Tuesday morning.

“This decision was not made lightly, and it comes as a result of unforeseen circumstances beyond our control,” the board’s directors said in a statement. “Our primary focus remains the integrity of our community, vendors, and attendees. While we understand that this news may be disappointing, please know that we are actively working to reschedule the event for a future date that better aligns with the needs of everyone involved.”

An email sent out to participants Monday night promised to keep them informed as the process to finalize a new date unfolds.

Billed as an annual “vibrant celebration of home improvement, interior design, landscaping, wellness, and more,” this year's version was planned at the town-run Bradford and District Memorial Community Centre. It was to feature a mix of local businesses and artisans.

“We support the board’s decision to postpone," Bradford Mayor James Leduc told BradfordToday in an email. "Although we were looking forward to having a town booth at the event and engaging with the residents of BWG, we are confident that the (board) will execute a well planned event in the fall, with increased participation from the local business community.”

A representative from the board of trade was not immediately available for an interview. BradfordToday will have more details on this developing story as they become available.
