11:00 am – Flag raising ceremony at the Leisure Centre
11:15 am – 12:00 pm - Keynote speeches & Community Awards Presentation at the Leisure Centre
12:00 pm – 2:00 pm - Ribbon cutting ceremony at the BWG Library
2:00 pm – 5:00 pm - Gallery opens in the Zima room & Fun activities in the Café
The Youth Empowerment Collective works with children and youth, using art as a catalyst to ignite empowerment, foster confidence, and build resilience, allowing them to authentically express themselves.
May 4th marks the first Annual Youth Empowerment Day, featuring a flag-raising ceremony hosted by town officials, keynote speeches, and a community award presentation followed by the unveiling of this exceptional art exhibit.
The exhibit showcases powerful works of art created by local children and youth, centered around themes of inspiration, confidence, self-esteem, ambition, and strength, embodying the vision of empowerment through the dreams of future generations.
To coincide with the opening of the exhibit at 2:00 pm, join us in the Café, for fun activities featuring selfie stations, popcorn, empowerment crafts, and much more! The exhibit will be on display from May 4th to May 18th in the Zima Room.
