Barrie man hospitalized after vehicle strikes Bradford hydro pole

Single-vehicle crash occurred Thursday afternoon

One person was transported to hospital after the vehicle they were driving hit a hydro pole in Bradford Thursday afternoon.

South Simcoe police, Bradford Fire and Rescue Services personnel and County of Simcoe paramedics responded to the single-vehicle crash, which occurred near the 5th Line and 10 Sideroad intersection shortly after 2 p.m. Thursday. 

The driver, a 40-year-old man from Barrie, was the lone occupant of the vehicle. He required extrication and was then taken to Southlake Regional Health Centre in Newmarket for treatment.

Charges had not been laid as of the publication of this article.
